Fun with the Gibsons!

We've had a lot of fun with the Gibson's lately. First it was the Griffith Park "choo-choo". A lot of bang for the buck! This was a big hit with Ruby and Jacob.

And then Disneyland. Lots of bang for lots of bucks although this trip was on the cheap due to Frank's Disney connection...

A Very Ruby Christmas

Merry Christmas 2008 everyone! Here's our tree. 90% of these presents were for Ruby of course. Thanks Santa!

Christmas Eve and Ruby was suited up in her special Christmas outfit.

Two Barnhardts and a Spud.

Ruby's favorite Christmas present: a baby "Baby Grand" piano.

Uncle Scotty tickled the ivories and Ruby gave us an impromptu performance of "I'm a Little Teapot"

Grandma Ellen got in on the act.

A post-Christmas day walk around the hood. Check out those snow-capped mountains!

The Jaramillo's stopped by with baby Noah. What a cutie!

Thanksgiving

So I was catching some grief from a certain Grandma, about not having posted any photo's from Thanksgiving (and its already Christmas!) Then I realized, hey I barely took any pictures at Thanksgiving. I guess I was having too much fun. Here are a few highlights of our bay area trip.

We went to the SF Zoo. Fortunately we were not assaulted by any Tigers. Ruby did have a close encounter with this goat though.

We went to a fantastic party at the Calanchini-Carters house. I don't have any pics of that, however. Just this shot of Ruby and her future husband, Teo.

And here's Ruby enjoying a good book in her favorite Lamb chair at Grandma's house. Baaaaa....

A Ladybugs Halloween

This year Ruby was a ladybug for Halloween. Here she is in our garden getting into character.

We started the day at PDN (Pasadena Day Nursery aka. Ruby's Daycare) where there were morning Halloween festivities planned.

First a little meet and greet in the courtyard. Ruby mingled with the likes of Indiana Jones and Snow White.

Here she is with her buddy Owen, the penguin.

Next was a song about Halloween but I didn't get any pictures . Oh well. And then a parade around the block. Mostly walking but the last bit on Papa's shoulders.

Later that day we went to some festivities in our neighborhood at the Self-Realization Center. They went all out! Ruby especially loved these Bubble Fairies.

She also was granted a wish by the Queen.

And given a sticker by this scarecrow.

All in all a very full day!

Another Visit to The Happiest Place on Earth

Grandma Ellen came to visit and we took her on her first trip to The Happiest Place on Earth aka. Disneyland. Ruby, of course, has been there many times. Actually just three. Once in utero. Then again a few months back (as seen on this blog) and now this time.

Her favorite ride is the carousel. Not that you'd know that from any of these pictures. But she actually cried when we took her off her horse. Amazingly, there wasn't much of a line so we took another spin!

We managed to get a photo op with the one and only Winnie the Pooh after going on "The Pooh Ride".

In addition to Grandma, some of the Herman clan joined us on our trip. Here we are on the action-packed Jungle Cruise.

Ruby needed a little extra shade, sitting in the hot sun, waiting for the Main St. Parade, so Grandma lent her her hat. She also needed to stretch her legs with Papa.
