Baby in the Mist

This weekend was HOT HOT HOT! Summer has definitely arrived! Fortunately Grandma Jo was visiting this last week and gave us an early birthday present to cool us off.

Ruby now has her own little aquarium pool, a swing and a mister. We also are on our way to having a great irrigation/watering system for our entire hillside and yard area.

Lots of flowers should be blooming around here soon and surviving through the summer. And Miss Ruby will have a place to play. Hooray! Here are some pics of Ruby in her pool and cooling off under the mister.

Papa's Day

Last week was rough. Ruby's lingering cold/cough turned into an ear infection and she had to start antibiotics. blech!

But this weekend things started looking up! Ruby was feeling much better and with her dr's ok we took her to our friends, Dan and Caroline's pool party!

Summer Dress

Ruby took 8 steps in daycare yesterday! I saw her take 6 a few days before. Is walking just around the corner? We'll keep you posted.

First Trip to Disneyland

We decided we needed to have a little fun this weekend so it was time for Ruby's first trip to Disneyland! There was no way to know if she'd be freaked out by people dressed up in giant furry costumes or scared on the rides but overall things went very well. We got big smiles most of the day, especially at the end for the Main St. Parade. We only went on two rides. The Merry-Go-Round and Peter Pan's Flight (my fave). And we sat through the awesome Enchanted Tiki Room. So glad they still have that one around. The song stays in your head for weeks afterwards ("In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room....")
